Layout Complete

Hey folks. Short update here. I know things have taken a little longer than normal but fitting the edited manuscript into the layout has been a challenge, with some of the maps being pretty screwy in size, so it was difficult to get everything where it needed to be. I eventually had to settle on bumping two sections up to fit on two spreads instead of one.
The good news is: This made more room for dope art. Chao is now working on the last two illustrations, which are now full page illustrations of two faction leaders: the Chiropteran Lord and the Spider Lady. I know these are gonna look dope and hell and I'm excited for you to see them.
In addition, the wonderful Hodag RPG has agreed to lend his talents to a few other spot illustration spots that opened up. I love Hodag's work and have wanted him on one of my OSR joints for a minute now, so I'm happy to see it here. (Now if I can get Tony Tran and Castle Grief, I'll have collected the whole set!)
We're also busy fulfilling some other projects and getting ready to attend Pittsburgh Indie Expo this weekend! Come say hi; we'll be under a gigantic banner of the Castle Gygar cover. If you're a backer, I'll show you some cool art :)

February Update

The edits from Roz and Maeve have come back and I approved everything. This means it's back to the layout mines for me. I had planned on starting that this week (after being delayed from my wife having pneumonia and the Snowpocalypse 2026), but I had a car accident the other night before work that has been a pretty big emotional and logistical drain on me. (No one was injured and the car is now functional, but that doesn't make it any less stressful.) I'm hoping that by the weekend or next week I'll be able to get back in the groove, especially as our other project (HBHS) is wrapping up for release on February 14th.
I joke up there, but thanks for your patience. I'm juggling a lot of projects right now and some things simply boil over faster than others. We are unlikely to be able to deliver the PDF in February; some of the art needs to wait for the layout to be done, so that's going to take a little longer. I am still hopeful that we will have the layout done soon and then it's back to the art again.

Editing Almost Complete

Hey folks!
Editing is progressing. We hit a weird technical snag with Google which lost us a few days and the holidays have hit us all a bit. Thankfully, the tech issue has been resolved and the holidays are upon us, so we are hoping to have the manuscript edits wrapped up soon.
Once edits are complete, we move back to putting it into layout, and Chao can get back to doing great art for the book.
Thanks for your support. We are all working hard and juggling lots of other projects, but progress is happening at the same steady rate we planned for.

The book is currently still going through copy edits. It's a little over 10,000 words so there's a LOT to get through!
